Good with considerate children or a home without kids.

Pippa came with Jujube, and was found as a stray by her previous adopter. She is the unlikely combination of a German Shepherd and Corgi, giving her a shepherd face and coloring with a Corgie body and legs! Sweet nature, not too active, and would do well in a quiet, attentive household. She is thought to be about 4-6 years old and currently weighs about 35 lbs, although she is overweight. Good with considerate children. Best with other dogs her size. Spayed and fully vaccinated and ready for adoption. She does have some Alpha issues so probably would be best as an only dog.

Baby was rescued in June by a couple who had planned to keep her but a job relocation made that impossible. When she was found she suffered with several seizures which were determined to be from sever malnutrition. With a good diet and supplemental vitamins and minerals, she has been seizure free for 3 months. She had surgery for an inguinal hernia in December and is doing fine. She is a sweet little girl, sometimes a bit reserved but still loves to cuddle. She would be best in a home without another female dog as she shows some jealousy tendencies. She would be happy as a solo dog and with older children.

She must have had some terrible trauma because she does not like to be approached when she's on the ground, and will often hide under tables and furniture. However, she will allowed herself to be picked up, petted and snuggled when she's on a bed or furniture. I'm sure in time and with patience she will become more comfortable. She would not be good with children. She does get along with other dogs.

Everyone loves little Leica and she loves everyone back. Which is remarkable considering miserable start she's had. She was heavily matted and filthy, very ill and lethargic. She was covered in fleas and lice. Her left back leg was fractured and didn't heal properly. And she somehow survived distemper, leaving her with a permanent neurological tic that causes her jaw to move. This is often called "the chewing gum" syndrome.
Once she started feeling good she has become a lively and playful little girl, wanting nothing more than to be in the same space (literally) as I am! She's become an expert at sneaking through doorways and her greatest pleasure is riding in the car. She's started walking on her bad leg, and can keep up with the others running on 3 legs.
She does get underfoot so she would not be good with someone who as difficulty walking. Best with older considerate children or childless household, as a solo dog or with other dogs and cats.

These 2 little chis are owner surrenders due to ill health in the family. The family would like them to be adopted together if possible.
Paco is 7 years old, around 5 lbs, and quite the little love. He has some back pain due to a previous injury when he was younger, which is well managed with medication. He loves walks but can't walk for very long. Loves to sit in laps and snuggle in bed.
Rico is about 4 years old, and a little larger than Paco. He too is a total love and snuggler. He has his favorite squeaky ball and will play fetch forever!
Both get along with other dogs and enjoy considerate children. They would be fine separated, but would enjoy being together, and would probably be less demanding for attention. Both are neutered and fully vaccinated.
Adoption fees apply. We can make arrangements to get Paco and Rico to San Antonio, TX for transport to other parts of the US.
